Robotic Process Automation is an application of technology for automating software with the help of robots to automate any business process without any human intervention. In other words, RPA is a technology that allows computer programs or robots to replicate manual processes done by humans in an automated repeatable and reliable manner just like humans but more efficiently and effectively in less time.

Robots can open emails and attachment logs into application and read databases collects dataflow, fill in application forms by minimizing risk and increase visibility. In the workplace, RPA is used to automate labour-intensive day to day processes by freeing up high-value employees and to be used for more productive jobs.

Robots are extensively evolving today and have massive exponential growth into the area of artificial intelligence and machine learning which allows robots to make decisions and predictions.

RPA enables us with tools to create our own software robots to automate any business process.  "Bots" developed by us are configurable software set up to perform the tasks we assign and control as per the business requirements.
RPA bots can learn and mimic human actions to perform sequential steps, leading to meaningful activity as the business needed without any human intervention. Also, RPA bots do perform a vast variety of repetitive tasks wand makes zero mistakes. The primary aim of developing RPA bots is to replace boring and repetitive task performed by humans with the virtual workforce, it also let humans free from the monotonous task and to be used for more productive jobs.

RPA comprises of three basic building blocks:

  1. Robotic: A robot which is capable of being programmed by the computer in order to perform complex tasks and is known as robots.
  2. Process:  A process is a sequence of activities or tasks taken into consideration required to achieve meaningful activity and the desired result.
  3. Automation: When the robotic component combines with the process which will result in an activity to let happen automatically and it is done without human intervention.
